Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Theresa Catholic School

It is with great pride, excitement and anticipation that we welcome our St. Theresa families, with open arms, to the 2017-2018 school year. We would like to especially welcome, our new St. Theresa Tigers and their families to our wonderful school community and we would like to sincerely thank you for allowing us to serve and teach your amazing children.  The school and the classrooms are set up for great learning and look absolutely amazing. The custodians and staff have worked diligently at making both the school and classrooms warm and inviting for our students.

The staff has many great activities planned for this year and this school year promises to have many memorable and exciting opportunities for your children.  This year we have some new and welcomed additions to our staff and student body and look forward to the new friendships and experiences they will bring to our caring environment.

Our Dual Track School offers many unique and diverse opportunities. We host many programs such as the Early Learning Kindergarten Program, French Immersion and Extended French Programs, The S.A.I.N.T. Movement, Math Leadership, and our Student Leadership Team that plan many activities for our students. Our Parent Council meets regularly to help enrich and support our education and always looks forward to having many new members join our dynamic team. We are constantly looking for ways to engage and support our Students, and welcome new and interesting ideas through student, parent and community voice. This dynamic team has assisted in purchasing new items for our schoolyard.

It is our goal to celebrate our rich diversity and create a learning culture that embraces the development of the whole child.  Our school prides itself on encouraging all students to meet their academic, physical and spiritual potential. We want them to explore and investigate their many God-given talents and gifts. We are proud to celebrate our Catholic Faith, traditions and the spirit of giving that is created through many opportunities and relationships with our Faith community.  We welcome you to join us for our monthly celebrations of Faith.

As parents, you play an important role in your child’s education. We look forward to working closely with you and value your partnership. Communication is both a valuable and important factor in student success. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the school (teachers or myself).

I look forward to working closely with you and invite you to call if you would like to share some great ideas or would like to simply say a friendly hello.

Yours In Education,

Micheline Lamarche

Support Catholic Education(Posted:10/30/2017)

DID YOU KNOW?  Your school support defaults to English Public each time you move residences. You must re-declare yourself as English Separate.

By ensuring that you are accurately recorded as a Separate School Supporter, you will be able to cast a vote for Catholic trustees in the October 22, 2018 Municipal Election and you are helping to deliver a powerful message to the Ontario government about the level of support for publicly funded Catholic education in our province.
