About Us

Striving to maintain the integrity and well-being of our students and their school community, according to the values of the Gospel.

St. Theresa was first opened in 1997 as a Junior Kindergarten to grade two school in Corbeil. The school grew by one grade until it included grade six in 2001.

Our school community moved to a newly built facility in Callander for the September 2006 opening. The school now offers a regular English Program and the Early French Immersion program from junior kindergarten to grade eight.

The students actively participate in academic and extracurricular programs such as the, the choir, volleyball, peer helpers, cross country running teams and gymnastics lessons by qualified instructors at a local club. The students participate in liturgical celebrations at school. Parents have an opportunity to become engaged in a variety of activities: the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, library helpers, peer helpers, fund raising, educational outings and the Catholic School Advisory Council.

Balanced School Day

In September 2007, the staff and students at St. Theresa School were introduced to a new approach to school organization called the "Balanced School Day". Essentially, this approach divides the school day into three large instructional periods of one hundred  minutes separated by two nutrition/play periods. The school day begins at 8:40 a.m. and concludes at 3:00 p.m.

Community Relations

St. Theresa School  continues to serve the surrounding communities by allowing for community involvement in the school. We continue to be partners with our local police agencies, the Knights of Columbus, the Legion, Boy Scouts and many more groups.
